No one ever should hit the trail without a topo map. Here are topo maps for three great day hikes in the Grand Marias, Minn. region.
Sitting on the North Shore, Grand Marais is the gateway to two excellent state parks – Cascade River and Judge CR Magney – as well as the Superior National Forest and the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Minnesota’s highest point, Eagle Mountain at 2301 feet elevation, is northwest of Grand Marais.
Trails are marked in yellow on the maps. Click each map or open it a new window for a larger, printable version.
