Bring birds to you by laying a trail of bread crumbs. Photo courtesy of Photoree. |
Fortunately, there are lots of tried and true activities you can do on the trail that’ll keep kids from getting bored. Among them is Bird Trail.
Many children are interested in birds – their habits, their songs, their appearances. Unfortunately, most birds are too far off in the tree branches to be any more than glimpsed by children.
A way to overcome that problem is to coax the birds to you. That can be done by laying a line of bread crumbs down the trail to a log or boulder where you and the child set. Be patient – a bird (and sometimes other animals such as chipmunks and squirrels!) will peck at the crumbs and get close to the child.
