Video of Yosemite’s iconic Half Dome

Among Yosemite National Park’s many iconic sights is the Half Dome rock formation.

Located in Yosemite Valley, the granite crest was formed underground millions of years ago then thrust upward and exposed as mountains in the national park were built. Half Dome rises 4,737 feet above the valley.
