Pack waterproof bags on hike with children

Waterproof bags are helpful in case
of rain. Photo courtesy of NPS.
When day hiking with kids, you’ll want to have on hand waterproof bags to hold extra clothing you’ve packed and a variety of other items.

If rain should fall or your backpack tumbles into a stream or lake, those clothes will be protected so you can remain dry.
