
To keep kid’s enthusiasm charged, “review” the hike in kid-friendly ways. While you really can’t do this with infants, most toddlers and older kids will enjoy it. One post-hike activity you might consider is save the trail maps.
Write on the map the day you hiked the trail and store them away in a notebook or file folder. Years from now, your kids may wish to make the same hike again … perhaps with their own children.
