Fortunately, there are lots of tried and true activities you can do on the trail that’ll keep kids from getting bored. Among them is Toe to Toe.
Find an area of low cut grass or that is sandy. Remove any stones, twigs and debris from it. Next, have children take off their boot and socks, which is great for airing out their feet on hot days.
Have two children lay on the cleared area, big toe to big toe. They now must roll on the ground, keeping theit toes touching one another as they do.
This can be turned into competition with the winner the pair that makes the most rolls before their toes stop touching.
