Generate interest in outdoors by creating nature club

A good way to get any one child excited about being outdoors is to group him with a bunch of kids who are excited about it. A solid way to accomplish that is creating a nature club, in which outdoors-minded parents with kids get together to do lots of nature-oriented activities.

Among the many activities the club can engage in are:
g Day hikes
g Visiting nature centers
g Backyard scavenger hunts
g Nature-oriented crafts
g Backyard campouts
g Fishing trips

The Children & Nature Network offers a free guidebook of how to create a nature club in your neighborhood.
